Founded in 2020, the Polar Investment Club is Bowdoin's premier finance organization.
Investing in the common good.
MISSION
Polar Investment Club is, at heart, an organization dedicated to learning. A critical part of our club charter is to promote diversity (of people, thought, and experience) in an industry that is largely homogenous. We seek to promote financial literacy and a rigorous approach to investing. For those interested in careers in financial services, we offer several outlets to engage with and learn from financial news, capital markets, and experienced professionals. The Polar Investment Club produces The Polar ReCap (Bowdoin's only financial newsletter), The Polar Plunge (a deeper dive analysis of specific companies), and hosts The Annual PIC Stock Pitch Competition.
To increase financial literacy amongst members through weekly newsletters, guest speakers & coffee hour chats with Board Members.
To stimulate professional growth amongst each analyst class by teaching technical analysis and modeling skills, and by providing a built-in network of peers and club alumni.
